Baizdon were commissioned to produce a fresh guide for The Monument in the City of London. We were also asked to make a limited edition of 350 hardback guides to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London. To get the best shots we were given access to the top of the gold plated urn that crowns the column. The finished guide features a panoramic of the City shot through the gold flames and on the reverse, a one metre photograph of the complete column.
Baizdon's most recent publication is a Summit Guide for The O2 in London. The visitor experience, "Up at The O2" involves an climb across the roof of The O2 along a 190m long tensile fabric walkway. At the summit a central platform provides 360-degree views of the city. Baizdon were asked to provide a guide to the landmark building itself and a view guide to the spectacular vista at the top. Our metre-long concertina guide provided a perfect format. Both glossy and cloth-bound hardback editions are now available from the Up at The O2 shop.
Woodlands.co.uk approached Baizdon to produce a quality gift that would help promote and sustain their brand with their new clients. We used our notebook format – The BAIZDON Journal+
The bespoke hardback notebook combines neatly with a poster featuring a guide to British Trees with 50 photographs and illustrations. While the reverse is a compendium of woodland facts, quotes, advice and even a short poem on the best firewood to collect.
Baizdon published the first souvenir guide of the Gherkin with the support of world renowned architects Foster+Partners. Designed in a concertina format, it unfolds to reveal a unique one-metre photograph of Norman Foster's modern masterpiece. The guide highlights historical and architectural details and features fresh imagery including a dramatic helicopter shot of the top of the building. It is on sale at selected venues around London or online.
Tower Bridge commissioned Baizdon to produce a guide to the view from the upper walkways of London's iconic Tower Bridge. Our photographer shot a 360˚view of the capital, combining shots from the four of the Bridge's towers. To get a fresh image of the Bridge itself we hired a tugboat and shot the Victorian landmark from the middle of the River Thames.
The one-metre foldout guide was launched to coincide with the opening of their spectacular 11-metre glass walkways. In addition our image of the Bridge has been use on a range of exhibition souvenirs from jigsaws to gift-wrapped chocolates.
Baizdon were approached by The Guildhall Art Gallery in the City of London to produce a souvenir guide book featuring the highlights of their extensive collection of art. The 48-page book featuring work by Rossetti, Millais, Constable, Lord Leighton and Alma-Tadema is designed to be a popular income generator for the gallery.

Baizdon were approached by the Tower Bridge team to produce a Pocket Guide to explain the engineering of the Bridge. After a lot of research and detailed illustration work we produced a cutaway graphic that showed the hundreds of components that make up the Victorian icon. To produce the printed Pocket Guide we were delighted to collaborate with Compass PopOut Maps and use their brilliant folding mechanism. We created artwork that mirrors the opening of the bascules of the bridge as the pocket guide opens and the PopOut fold© opens up to reveal the interior of the Bridge.
The Portrait Restaurant at the top of the National Portrait Gallery has one of the best views in central London. The NPG commissioned Baizdon to create a souvenir booklet that would help visitors interpret their unique vista. Our publication, The Portrait Perspective, links paintings and photographs from the gallery's collection with some of the capital's most beautiful buildings. The cloth-bound hardback booklet unfolds to reveal a metre long image of the restaurant's view during the day on one side and a twilight image on the reverse.
Baizdon were commissioned by Searcys to produce a guide to The Gherkin's spectacular views. Using panoramic photographs taken at different times of the day we produced a 32-page view guide highlighting one hundred points of interest across London. The book entitled 360˚ at the Gherkin has proved to be popular with visitors as well being a useful way to promote the Searcys' restaurant, bar and London's highest private members club. The guidebook is now in its second edition and available to buy online

Bell House is one of the finest Georgian houses in Dulwich, London. It's current owners are in the process of transforming it into an educational centre that offers support outside the mainstream school curriculum, lifelong learning, exhibitions, talks and musical events.
Baizdon have been involved in helping the Bell House charity with its public profile. To this end we have put together a website for the charity – bellhouse.co.uk and designed a foldout-history of the building illustrated by architectural artist Lucinda Rogers.
